 This is the way the ponds were......

This is built from railway sleepers (or ties, if you're in the USA ), lined with heavy polythene, sand, and a liner.

It is 4' long x 3' wide x 2' deep. It's 162 gallons in old money (not sure what that is in litres ), and currently has a Hozelok Bioforce 2000 filter system installed.

The Puddle was basically a small pre form with a Atom pump that was going for not a lot, and had lay outside for a year. After being dissuaded from running the sleepers full length, I used the rest for a small rockery, and dumped the puddle in the centre.

The puddle is no longer with us, gone to pastures new as an upside down hill.
